The phone just rang.
Two hour delay tomorrow for the kids.
You see it is silly cold here.
So my little ones get to sleep in.
Two hour delays are like presents.
To my kids anyway.
The school day doesn't have to be made up.
They get to see their friends.
And they get to sleep in.
I wish work had a two-hour delay.
I wish that was a benefit just like a vacation day.
15 vacation days.
3 sick days.
and 3 two-hour delays. Use as needed.
Because then I would get to sleep in.
But unless I could get a Mom two-hour delay.
A work two-hour delay won't work.
Especially if my kids have one on the same day.
Because when my babies know they can sleep in.
They never do.
And neither do I.
